RHIZOMATIC RECOMBINANT
I’m a Taiwanese American, LA based director, photographer, and experiential artist, questioning the boundaries between still, motion, and loop image - photo as a moment, video to tell a story, gif as infinity. My production background informs my installation art, using the same film tools to take light from image into experience. Forever fascinated by novelty and failure, and the interplay of art and tech, I’m investigating what light can express as both illuminated pixel and volumetric solid, and how decisions in the image making process resolve into how others perceive and participate.
